BILL SANTIAGO & Mike Baldwin |
| Description: |
After narrowly escaping a career in journalism, Bill Santiago went into Stand-up Comedy. It wasn't a hard choice considering the fact that as a comedian he was funny, but as a reporter he was a joke. More often than not, people say nice things about his act. "Santiago proved political satire is alive in America," noted a San Francisco Chronicle theater critic. Or as one New York City club owner put it, "A Hispanic who uses big words. I love it!" As far as television, he was a big hit on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, seen by everyone but his mother, who apparently taped the wrong show. Through the miracle of arts grants – money to stay home and come up with something hilarious that may or may not have an intermission – Santiago has entered the world of solo performance, currently developing and touring his show, “Spanglish 101.” Admittedly, he used some of the grant money to buy a pair of shoes he wanted very much. They were on sale, though. Today he charms audiences across the country with his quick, cogent style, and it doesn’t hurt to be beautiful. Web site: www.billsantiago.com |

![]() If you want to have a great time at a comedy show, make sure that Mike Baldwin is performing. Considered by many to be one of the best young comics working the road today, Mike is a clever joke writer and one-of-a-kind joke teller. Certainly a show you won't want to miss. Mike's jokes are roughly based on his life. His self deprecating material makes him funny to laugh AT. Dating, breaking up, going to school, and watching TV are a few of the random things he'll talk about. And also some stuff about living with his parents, moving out, and cool things you can do with some pot and a dog. He's all over the place, but very funny! Mike Baldwin has been compared to Mitch Hedberg, Andy Kaufman, and Steven Wright. He's been doing this comedy thing for almost nine years now and he's not slowing down a bit. Mike is likable and huggable and funny and worth seeing. Make sure you see him or book him now before he gets rich and famous and thinks he's too cool to hang out with you!
